One year in prison for man who admits theft, living as a vagabond

A man was sentenced to one year in prison after he admitted to theft and living as a vagabond, the police said in a statement.

The 48-year-old was arraigned before Magistrate Paul Coppini in the Gozo courts.

He was accused of committing theft, carrying pointed instruments without a permit, and living as a vagabond.

The man, whose name was not disclosed, was sentenced to one year in prison and fined €116.47.

The prosecution was led by Inspector Bernard Charles Spiteri.
