INDEPTH: Gap between the two leaders is closing, surveys will show - David Agius

Thursday, 1 February 2018, 15:28 Last update: about 8 years ago

“New surveys will show that the gap between the two political leaders is closing,” PN Deputy leader for Parliamentary Affairs David Agius said.

Interviewed by The Malta Independent editor-in-chief Rachel Attard on INDEPTH, Agius was asked to explain how was it possible that two weeks after the brutal murder of journalist Daphne Caruana Galizia, surveys showed that if an election had to be held at that time the Labour Party would win with a historic majority of around 70,000 votes.

Agius replied that he is aware that new surveys are showing that the picture has now changed and is today different from what it was in October 2017.

Agius said that in the long run the PN will not only close the gap between the two political parties but will also give the PL a good run for its money.

The interview will be uploaded tomorrow.
