Motorists were left speechless earlier today when a runaway cow charged in their direction in Marsascala.

The incident was caught on camera by Glenn Zammit, who uploaded the clip to Facebook.

In the 10-second video, a man wearing Wellington boots, presumably the farmer, is seen chasing after the animal. It is understood that the cow was returned to the farm before it could cause any damage to cars.

One commenter captioned the video: ‘When your mum tells you that dinner is ready.’

Another said the cow was going to relieve the three stacked cows in front of Parliament, with reference to one of the V18 art installations (below).
