An elderly man was injured when he tried to harm himself in the Mosta government home for the elderly, a Department of Information statement said.
The 81-year-old suffered injuries to the stomach, the DOI said, without going into the specifics of what caused the injuries.
The man was taken to Mater Dei Hospital for treatment. His condition is stable, the DOI said.
