A film written by a Maltese father and son will be premiering next month in a prestigious film festival in Austin, Texas.

The film, called The Boat, was written by Winston and Joe Azzopardi, with the former also taking on the role of a director and the latter acting as the protagonist of the story.

In a review published on fantasticfest.com, the film is described as a “B-movie in the best sense of the phrase… a brilliant thriller that cleverly highlights the natural in the supernatural”.
