Civil Protection Department members and a police officer this morning removed panels that were posing a risk to drivers on one of the exit roads of the Regional Road in St Julian's.

Staff at The Malta Independent, whose offices face this stretch of road, noticed the panels which were dangerously close to the edge, and which could have ended up on the road below in strong winds.

The matter was reported to the police who, in turn, alerted the CPD.

CPD officers and a polieman this morning were on site to remove the danger.
