Early Friday morning the drugs squad arrested two people in possession of two kilos of drugs suspected to be cocaine upon their arrival on flight from France.
The male and female passengers, both French citizens, were stopped at soon as they left the airport and were to have been in possession of the suspected illicit substance.
They were taken to the police headquarters in Floriana. A magisterial inquiry is underway as are police investigations.
