Energy Minister Joe Mizzi yesterday hailed the wind turbine project in Montenegro shows government's commitment to the energy sector.

The project, spread out over eight kilometres and undertaken jointly by Enemalta and Shanghai Electric Power, together with Envision Energy - a Chinese company that produces wind turbines - was completed in less than a year, the government said yesterday.

Through the project, 23 wind turbines will generate 46 megawatts of energy.

This project served as an opportunity for Enemalta to invest in clean energy, and to continue rendering more funds through this investment.
