What is unbelievable is Simon Busuttil’s attitude, Labour Party says

Former Opposition Leader Simon Busuttil said it is “unbelievable” that the courts of law ruled against him, but what is “unbelievable” is his attitude towards the courts each time they rule against him, the Labour Party said in a statement.

On Tuesday, the Criminal Court threw out an order by a Magistrate for an inquiry to be launched into Panama Papers revelations, arguing that the level of detail in Simon Busuttil's claims did not satisfy the requirements at law for such an inquiry to begin. Busuttil said the decision was “unbelievable”.

In a statement on Wednesday morning, the PL said that Busuttil praised the courts when they decided in his favour but attacks their decisions when he does not agree with the outcome. For Simon Busuttil, the courts of law “worked properly only when he agrees with the decision”.

Rule of law works for Busuttil when he can launch accusations and possibly judge them himself, an attitude which the PL described as being arrogant.
