Masters Football: Dingli and Naxxar win again

In the CISK MASTERS DIVISION ONE LEAGUE, NAXXAR MASTERS got their second win when they beat ZURRIEQ WOLVES 6-4. The game produced an interesting tussle. Zurrieq wih some new registered players had the upperhand in the first half and went for the break leading  2-0, goals by Alistair Camilleri who had a good game and Rodrick Caruana. However in the second half Naxxar went all out on the attack and with Mark Deguara scoring three they got six consecutive goals to register their second win. Zurrieq made a last effort and reduced the margin but it was too late to save the game.

TARGA GAP also registered a good win against TAL-QROQQ 9-4 and consolidted their placing in the standing. Kurt Coleiro was their best player and man of the match, scoring four important goals for his team. Tal-Qroqq were leading 3-2 at the end of the first period with Robert Perkins scoring two. At the beginning of the second thiry minutes they were also leading 4-3, however, soon after they failed badly. They could not keep pace and were domiated  wih Targa Gap scoring six   consecutive wih no reaction from their opponents.

In the MAPFRE/MSV Life Premier League,  DINGLI DESANA went top in the standing with three points advantage over Marsa but they played a game more. Dingli, is one of the favourite for the title and although dominated in the first half they could only get a 3-0 lead, missing some easy chances .  In the second half, altough at the beginning  WARDIJA  scored  two goals, soon after Dingli started their goal machine  with another six goals Wardija players running after them. It was in the  last 5 minutes that they scored two other goals.
