Żebbuġ R: J. Borg, D. Fava, S. Schembri, R. Vella, H. Vella, S. Buhagiar, B. Muscat, R. Dos Santos, J. Caetano Da Silva (R. Micallef 85'), J. Farrugia, G. De Sousa Braga.

Referee: Fyodor Zammit

Scorers: Caetano Da Silva 37' pen, Dion Fava 49', Randall Vella 61', Thiago Rodrigo Dos Santos 70'

Zebbug obtained their first victory after a spell of eight games, demolishing Santa Lucia by four clear goals in a one sided affair. Zebbug were simply the better side yesterday as Santa Lucia slumped to their second successive defeat after their defeat against Zejtun.

The departure of Paiber who joined Floriana, has left a gap in the Santa Lucia set-up, and the team is yet to find ways and means to make up for this. On the other part Zebbug were in splendidi form yesterday with their foreign imports Thiago Rodrigo Dos Santos and Gregori De Souza Braga hard to contain.

The win lifts Zebbug to a safer position in the table, but if theyr continue on yesterday's form, then it will not be a problem for Clive Mizzi's side.

Gudja United moved to second place in the standings beating Vittoriosa with a fine display yesterday. Playing after Santa Lucia’s debacle in the first game, Gudja were ultra motivated yesterday and obtained their goal, moving ahead of Santa Lucia in the standings.

Gudja were the better team in the opening stages and took the lead on 13 minutes when Santos Da Hora scored from close range following a amelee in front of goal. Gudja doubled the score on 33 minutes with a rapid break with Kooh Sohna passing towards Lee Joe Schembri who rounded off the goalkeeper before putting at the back of the net.

Just before the break Vittoriosa pulled on back when they were awarded a dubious penalty for a handling infringement, and Ogunnupe sent Debono the wrong way from the penalty spot.

In the second half Gudja continued to dictate adding further goals to their tally to move to second spot in the standings.
