Fishermen, restaurants owners and farmers today are calculating the costs of the damage caused by the weekend storm that hit Malta and Gozo.
Agricultural land was destroyed, rubble walls collapsed, restaurants by the sea severely damaged and boats were shattered by the waves, wind and hail that battered Malta.
Areas close to the sea, in particular the past of Malta facing the north-east (grigal) were hugely affected by the storm.
Other private individuals are estimating the cost of the damage caused by the storm, including buildings and cars they own.
These pictures were taken by Alenka Falzon in St Julian’s this morning.
