Imperium Europa officially becomes political party, leader Norman Lowell to run for MEP

Thursday, 7 March 2019, 12:50 Last update: about 6 years ago

Norman Lowell, the leader of the anti-immigration party Imperium Europa, will run for the European Parliament elections, it was announced today.

In a statement, Imperium Europa said it has officially become a political party, 19 years from its inception

Lowell, the founder of the movement, is the current leader of the party.

He is running with the tagline: ‘Your voice in Brussels – the only candidate that walks the talk.’

“Imperium Europa obtained 6,761 votes in the last MEP election and promotes a strict anti-immigration policy. It is pro-Europe but anti-current-EU, which it deems as a mercantile union,” Imperium said in a statement.

The party said it holds that “current cultural diversity policies are leading to the annihilation of cultures and seeks to promote a Europe of Regions and Peoples through the formation of a new grouping of right-wing representatives in Brussels: Nova Europa.”

“The party believes that the people have been misrepresented by the six MEP candidates who followed their own party agenda and personal interest in Brussels and who failed to address the people’s frustration, needs and imminent dangers.”

Norman Lowell is well-known for his inflammatory anti-migrant rants and has, in the past, been found guilty of inciting racial hatred. He has contested the EP elections in 2004, 2009 and 2014.
