Investar plc announced ”that it has encountered delays in the publishing of its Annual Financial Report and Accounts for the financial year ending 31 December 2017. It is the Company’s firm intention to have such approval and publication finalised as soon as possible but in no case later than the third quarter of 2019," a statement on the Malta Stock Exchange said.

The company resolves to keep the market duly informed by issuing further Company Announcements as may be necessary in due course, the statement said. 

Prof Catalfamo is the founder of Investar which is registered in Malta while Investar is the controlling shareholder of Global Capital plc.

Professore Catalfamo serves as Chairman of Global Capital plc, and also of Global Capital Life Insurance Ltd.

In May of this year the Listing Authority suspended  trading in Global Capital plc’s shares  due to that company’s failure to publish the Annual Financial Report of 2018 within the stipulated time frames. 

In 2017 Investar had issued a prospectus for a bond of up to USD 25million maturing in 2022.
