Edward Zammit Lewis returned to the government cabinet today as he was sworn in as minister following the resignation of Helena Dalli.

Dalli resigned on Wednesday after she was nominated by Prime Minister Joseph Muscat for the post of European Commissioner, which she will take up later this year.

Zammit Lewis, a former Tourism Minister, takes on Dalli’s portfolio as European Affairs and Equality Minister.

He was sworn in today in the presence of President George Vella and Muscat.
