A 22-year-old man from Somalia was arrested on Monday after being found in possession of 37 sachets of cannabis, ready to be trafficked, and a small number of sachets of what is suspected to be cocaine.

The man, residing in Marsa, was observed acting suspiciously in a public garden in Triq Diċembru Tlettax, limits of Marsa.

Duty Magistrate Audrey Demicoli was notified of the case and appointed several experts to assist with the inquiry. 

The man is expected to be taken to Court in the coming days, which charges related to trafficking and aggravated possession of cannabis and cocaine.

The Police are still investigating the case.
