Sustitute Luke Farrugia scored two goals to lead Qormi to an important victory against Zejtun in one of the most awaited games of the weekend. The result is surely too harsh on Zejtun who were the better team in the first half, but unfortunately were not capable of reacting after suffering the first goal.

Zejtun held the edge in the first half with Qormi rarely effective up front. On 19 minutes Jurgen Suda dribbled his way inside the Qormi and beat Azzopardi from an acute angle but his effort was cleared off the goal line by Alessio Cassar.

Seven minutes later Azzopardi again came to his side's rescue denying Robeiro who darted towards goal, and on the half hour Azzopardi did it again, this time blocking Carabott's close range effort.

On 68 minutes Qormi broke the deadlock when substitute Luke Farrugia who had just came in, shot low into the net following a freekick action. Zejtun were shocked and confused in their reaction and eleven minutes from time, defender Jeremy Busuttil handled the ball when he lost balance in the area and was sent off and Qormi awarded the penalty.

Chris Matombo made no mistake from the penalty spot and it was game over. On 90 minutes Qormi were also down to ten when Sheldon Grech was sent off for dissent and in stoppage time Gnindokponou was unstoppable on the left and crossed towards the unmarked Luke Farrugia who drilled the ball home.

Pembroke obtained their second successive victory beating St. George's 3-1, with the team from Cottonera suffering their first defeat of the season. Pembroke fully deserved their victory, domintaing the match for long stretches and always in control, apart from the last portion of the game.

In the last minutes the Saints pushed everything forward and scored a woner goal in the first minute of stoppage time, but their hopes were dashed to the ground on the 95 th minute when Jean Pierre Mifsud Triganza who came on a substitute, scored the third goal following a quick break.

Pembroke took the game by storm scoring two goals in side the first 23 minutes. On seven minutes Mattia Zarb scored with a low shot following a Luka Mijic run on the left, and the same Mijic doubled the score on 23 minutes with a good shot on the turn that finished low in the corner of the net.

Pembroke controlled the match till stoppage time when Caruana scored a beauty  from over 40 meters, but Mifsud Triganza's strike brought an end to the match.

Vittoriosa and Mqabba earned their point of the seaon after two successive defeats in an entertaining 1-1 draw. The game failed to lift off in the firts half but was full of excitment on the resumption.
vittoriosa took a 14th minute lead, thanks to great strike by Guerrero from the edeg of the area. Minutes later however the Vittoriosa striker was involved in a violent collison with Mqabba goalkeeper Tabone and both had to be substituted.

Just before the break mqabba went close with a Ferreira freekick hitting the crossbar.On the resumption Mqabba were a different proposition and stormed forward in search of the equaliser. They again hit the crossbar through a Ferreira deflected shot and eventually drew level on 67 minutes when Irvin abela headed past his goalkeeper in an attempt to clear.

Sixty seconds later Vittoriosa almost regained the lead with a Keith Vella shot smashing against the crossbar, but Mqabba  were twice denied a certain goal when two headers from John Micallef were cleared off the goal line by dario tabone and Irvin Abela who made amends for his own goal.
