From tomorrow morning (Saturday, 2 November, 4am), the northbound carriageway of Santa Lucija Avenue (Addolorata Hill) will be closed  for several months as Infrastructure Malta starts the excavation of the Santa Lucija roundabout tunnels. 

In a post on Facebook, IM urged drivers to follow diversion signs to the alternative route through Hal Luqa Road (next to Chinese Garden of Serenity) and Giuseppe Garibaldi Road, towards Marsa

The Santa Lucija Roundabout Project includes a four-lane underpass connecting Santa Lucija Avenue with Tal-Barrani Road , an overlying roundabout with improved access to residents in SantaLucija, Paola and Tarxien and safer facilities for alternative modes of travel.
