Controversial priest Fr David Muscat was told to move aside by members of the Caruana Galizia family, who are stationed themselves outside the side entrance of the OPM, which has been closed as protesters blocked it earlier this morning.

Former TV personality and PN candidate Salvu Mallia tried to appeal on his behalf, telling Daphne Caruana Galizia’s sisters that Fr Muscat was protesting like they were, and that he was present at the protest that was held on Sunday.

“It’s not the time,” he was told. Fr Muscat moved away from the door as Mallia continued to try to persuade Caruana Galizia’s sisters Helene Asciak and Corinne Vella, to no avail.

Fr Muscat has been in the news in the past weeks and was slammed for his comtroversial ideas, some of which were described as being Far-Right, especially with regard to migration.

Protesters were locked inside the side entrance of the OPM, which they blocked for five hours this morning as they called for the immediate resignation of Prime Minister Joseph Muscat.
