Senglea and Sirens provided some entertaining stuff yesterday at Kordin, sharing four goals and gaining each a point. It was a fair result, with Sirens saving the game through their new January signing Edward Herrera on 89 minutes. Senglea without a win in their last seven outings, were for the first time under the technical guidance of Giorgio Roselli and were minutes away for a morale boosting win.

Sirens had more of the ball in an otherwise balanced first half, but Senglea improved a lot after some hesitant moments at the start. In the second half the game slowed much of its tempo, with Senglea again taking the lead for the second time in the game, and when they looked set for aprecious win, came Sirens late equaliser for a repeat draw after the 1-1 draw of the first round.

Although Sirens were more aggressive in the opening stages, Senglea drew first blood on 22 minutes and were rather unlucky not to take the lead, when from a Cipriott freekick, Nascimento's header hiut the upright and from the reboundSakyi's shot just missed the target.

On 27 minutes Cipriott had a good freekick going wide and on 36 minutes Senglea opned up their account. Teixeira had a good run on the flank and his cross was met by Marcelo Dias who shot home for a well taken goal.

Senglea's joy was however shortlived as three minutes Sirens were back on level terms. Cheveresan's shot was blocked by defender and the rebound found Lucas Memezes unmarked and the striker made no mistake putting at the back of the net.

The second half had very little to offer with both sides cancelling out in midfield.  The stalemate was broken on 70 minutes when Dos Anjois crossed from the line towards substitute Theodoro de Almeida who shot low into the net.

As happened in the first half, Sirens were very reactive even though they had to wait till the 89th minute to save their skin. A Siraj Arab cross shot deceived goalkeeper Farrugia with the ball hitting the upright but Herrera was on hand to tap the ball home to give Sirens another positive result.
