JobsPlus CEO Clyde Caruana to head Robert Abela’s secretariat

Monday, 13 January 2020, 14:57 Last update: about 5 years ago

JobsPlus CEO Clyde Caruana will be the head of Robert Abela’s secretariat.

Caruana, who is also a lecturer at the university’s economy faculty, said on TVM on Monday morning that he was very active in Abela’s election campaign and would exchange ideas with the leadership contender.

It is so far unclear whether Caruana’s role will be that of Chief of Staff.

The position is one of the most powerful in government. The position was recently held by Keith Schembri, who was replaced by Mark Farrugia after he resigned after his arrest in connection with the Daphne Caruana GAlizia murder case.
