Speaker of the House Anglu Farrugia today ruled that Nationalist MP Jason Azzopardi was, prima facie, in breach of privilege when he said Labour MP Chris Cardona was “corrupt” and a “liar”.

During Monday’s parliament session, Chris Cardona requested the Speaker of the House to rule on a on a Facebook post uploaded on 5 January, in which Azzopardi called Cardona a liar and corrupt.

Azzopardi did not withdraw what he said, challenging Cardona to sue him.
