A man was seriously injured after he was hit by a car in Vittoriosa on Thursday morning, the police said.

The accident happened in San Dwardu Street at 9.30am.

The 79-year-old man, from Fgura, was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

He was hit by a Skoda Felicia driven by an 82-year-old man of Kalkara.
