Ivan Bartolo and David Thake this afternoon were sworn in as MPs.
On Tuesday, Bartolo and Thake won seats in Parliament on the twelfth and ninth district, respectively after a casual election. They replace former PN leader Simon Busuttil and Marthese Portelli after both resigned last month.
During his first speech, Bartolo said that he felt very humbled to be part of Parliament. “I hope that for the time that I am here, I hope I help move this country forward,” said Bartolo.
Thake also said that he felt humbled and that it was a privilege to be part of Parliament. “I wish to thank all the members of the opposition and to thank my family for their patience and support.”
