Schoolchildren have been doing their part to keep people's spirits up and send a message of courage and hope to elderly people during these difficult times.

Pupils from St Benild's school have been asked to come up with positive messages and drawings to cheer up the elderly.

The boys at the school came up with a number of messages, such as 'Keep smiling,' 'You are not alone,' 'Stay safe' and 'Love is greater than Covid-19.'

The above video was sent to various elderly people's homes to cheer up the residents.

Children all over Malta and Gozo have been putting up similar messages on their front doors and bedroom windows to send out the message that the country will get through this difficult time and that there will be a rainbow after the storm.
