The Nationalist Party has accused PBS and the programme Xarabank for being biased in favour of the government when Friday’s edition invited two ministers without the PN having a representative.
The complaint was formally filed with PBS editor Reno Bugeja after Xarabak yesterday had Economy Minister Silvio Schembri and Education Minister Owen Bonnici as guests.
The subject in hand was the effect of the Coronavirus pandemic, with the PN saying that this was the third time that the PN’s position was ignored on such an important subject.
PBS is obliged to ensure impartiality and demanded that it is given effective remedy, failing which it will proceed before the Broadcasting Authority.
