A suspect has been identified in relation to the Santa Lucija apartment murder, and was arrested on Morocco.

A body was found in a flat located in Misrah Dorell in Santa Lucija last Tuesday.

The victim - 62-year-old Victor Mckeon - had been found wrapped in plastic bags, had suffered blows to the head by a sharp instrument, and may have also suffocated.

The suspect who allegedly fled to Morocco is a 37-year-old Libyan who lived in the same apartment as the victim.

He was arrested in the past hours in an airport in Casablanca and is being held by the Moroccan authorities.

Extradition procedures are under way.

Investigations are ongoing.
