Watch: Archbishop explains decision to cancel Holy Week events, feasts

Archbishop Charles Scicluna has explained why the Church has decided to cancel all activities related to Holy Week and feasts.

He said the first priority is to stop the spread of Coronavirus, and the Church is working hand in hand with the health authorities on this matter.

The indications from the authorities are to avoid events that lead to the gathering of people. We have the duty to support the authorities this, he said.

He added that First Holy Communion and Confirmation celebrations will  hopefully be held towards the end of the year.
