Coronavirus has closed all schools in Malta, Melanie and Karl are stuck at home with their parents, but how will they pass the time? They read. But then, magically, the book and its protagonist end up in our world, and the adventures start.
This is the basis of an exciting, fantasy book, written by author, cartoonist and communication academic, Gorg Mallia. This children's book is set in the current, COVID-19 situation, and is a "stay-at-home" gift from Mallia to all the children stuck at home, during these times.
Melanie reads a story to her brother, Karl, about a girl called Katie, who buys an old book that has no writing in it. In a flash, Katie and her book pay a visit to Melanie. The story then leaps into fantasy, with the children finding themselves in dangerous situations and experiencing fantastic adventures.
They learn something about themselves they surely did not know before.

This entertaining fantasy, with an ecological theme, is written in large type and is available free-of-charge in pdf format. This book, Mallia says, 100 pages in total, is being given to children with the hope that it will encourage them to read more.
