Veteran broadcaster Joyce Guillaumier passed away on Monday. She was aged 75.

Guillaumier had started her career with Radio Malta in 1973 with a programme of classical music. She later worked also for Radio Malta 2, Radju Bronja, One and Campus FM.

She presented several cultural programmes and for many years was involved in educational productions.

She later presented TV programmes like Welcome to Malta and Mhux ghan-Nisa Biss.

In 2015, she had been bestowed with the Gieh ir-Repubblika Award.

For a time she was also chairman of the National Festivities Committee.

She had been married to Josie, who died some time ago, with whom she had two sons, Jeremy and Jean Paul.
