The price of face masks has been set at a maximum of 95 cents, while that of face shields at €5, Economy Minister Silvio Schembri said this evening.
In a post on Facebook, the minister said there will be no tolerance for abuse as Malta is set to wake up to a new situation on Monday, with mandatory use of masks or visors when entering shops or using public transport.
The measures will come into force Monday as the government announces a gradual relaxation of guidelines to combat the spread of Coronavirus.
The maximum price has been established via a legal notice.

A fine between €116 and €582 will be imposed on abusers, and this could go up to €2,329 if the abuse persists.
