A 51-year-old man from Msida died on Monday after he lost control of his motorcycle on the Coast Road.
The accident took place at around 6.15pm, the police said.
The man, named as Frank Aloisio by TVM, was driving in the direction of St Paul's Bay.
He was riding a Honda VT750.
A medical team was called to the scene of the accident, but the man was pronounced dead on site.
Magistrate Nadine Lia is leading an inquiry.
The police are also investigating the tragic case.
