A police constable is facing disciplinary proceedings after a video she uploaded on the social media, showing her dancing while wearing the uniform.

In a statement, the police denied that a police officer had been instructed to contact the administrators of the social media page to remove the footage.

The police said the footage was uploaded by the constable herself on 23 May.

When the police administration came to know about the video, the constable was ordered to remove it, while an investigation was initiated by the police internal affairs unit. Disciplinary proceedings were also taken, the police said, without further specifications.

The police said that no other order was given, except to the constable, for the video to be removed. If the investigation uncovers that a police officer, without authorisation, made contact with other persons, he or she will be disciplined, the police said.
