Man seriously injured in St Paul’s Bay stabbing incident

A man was seriously injured in a stabbing incident in St Paul’s Bay on Saturday evening, the police said.

The incident took place in Hgejjeg Street at 11.30pm.

The man who was injured, in his own residence, is a 24-year-old man from Latvia.

The police said this happened after an argument he had with a 31-year-old man from Mgarr.


A third man, whose identity is unknown, allegedly stabbed the Latvian before the two ran off.

The Latvian was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Magistrate Charmaine Galea is leading an inquiry.
