Gozo Channel prices almost halved for the rest of July

Gozo Minister Clint Camilleri has announced a scheme through which Gozo ferry prices are being reduced to almost half their usual price for the rest of the month of July to incentivise more tourism into Gozo.

The scheme will be activated starting from Monday 13 July up until Thursday 30 July and it applies for both locals and foreigners.

The minister noted that this scheme only applies for tickets that are bought between Monday and Thursday during a specific time period; 2:15pm – 12am.

“This is being done so that people would be more inclined to visit Gozo during the week rather than just at the end of the week,” Camilleri said.

The price of passengers travelling by foot will cost €2.50 instead of the usual €4.65 while the price for those travelling by car has been reduced to €8.50 from €15.70.

The scheme does not apply to commercial vehicles.

This is in addition to all other measures which the government has done to attract tourism and regenerate the economy, he said while encouraging Maltese and tourists to take advantage of this scheme and make Gozo their summer destination this year.
