Coronavirus: One new, locally transmitted case, no recoveries

One new case of Coronavirus was detected by health authorities in the last 24 hours.

The case is a case of local, sporadic transmission, authorities said.  The case is symptomatic.

No new recoveries were detected, meaning that the number of active cases now stands at six – increasing since yesterday.

A total of 1,114 swab tests were carried out in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of tests done so far up to 116,909.

Today’s figures mean that Malta has had a total of 680 cases of the virus in four months and a half. 665 of those have since recovered, while 9 have passed away.
