Malta has recorded its 11th death from Coronavirus.
She is an 86-year-old woman, who had tested positive on 18 August, a Department of Information statement said.
She was being treated at Mater Dei Hospital's intensive care union since then,
The Ministry expressed its condolences to the family, appealing for the public to follow guidelines issued by the health authorities.
The Malta Independent is informed that the woman is one of the persons who contracted the virus via a connection with the feast of Santa Venera.
The health authorities had reported a cluster of cases from the feast that was held in July.
