A man and a woman were injured in a rock-climbing accident in Gozo this afternoon, the police said.
The accident took place in Wied Mgarr ix-Xini at 12.30pm.
A 37-year-old woman resident in Birkirkara fell while she was rock-climbing. The police said she fell on a 30-year-old man who was assisting her.
The two were taken to hospital, with the woman reported to be in critical condition while the man was grievously injured.
Magistrate Simone Grech is leading an inquiry.
