Malta suffered another heavy 8-0 defeat against group leaders Denmark at Ta’ Qali, in a repeat score of the match in Copenhagen in August 2019. As expected there was no match between the two sides with the Danes notching the seventh consecutive victory in the group.

On the resumption Denmark scored five more goals with Troelsgaard scoring a brace, with other goals from Harder, Junge-Pedersen, and Bruun.

The result leaves Malta in fifth place of the six-team group, with four points above bottom placed Georgia who are still in search of their first point. Malta’s next match in the group will be in fact against Georgia in Tbilisi on 26 November.
