The courts have issued a warrant of seizure on Yorgen Fenech's assets. 

The order was issued after the journalist's family had filed a claim for compensation just days ago.

The order was issued against Fenech and affects any shareholding he has in any company. While not being a direct shareholder in Electrogas, through companies he has a shareholding in the company is affected.

In a press release on Monday, the Caruana Galizia family said that their legal action is to stop those involved "from using their assets to further corrupt our public life and institutions."
