A 47 year old man from Zabbar was taken to Mater Dei Hospital after he was injured in a car accident.

The accident took place at around 7:00 am, when police where informed of an accident which happened at Triq Is-Siggiewi, in Zabbar

Preliminary investigations show that a Toyota IQ driven by a 37-year-old from Siggiewi hit the victim.

The victim was taken to hospital straight away and certified as suffering from grievous injuries.

Investigations are currently on-going.
