A Moroccan man was grievously injured after a wall collapsed onto him on Wednesday afternoon, the police said.

The accident took place on the Coast Road in Naxxar at around 4.30pm.

The wall seems to have collapsed as a result of today’s heavy rainfall.

The man, who is 36 years old and lives in Gzira, was assisted by members of the Civil Protection Department and was taken to Mater Dei Hospital by ambulance.

Police investigations are ongoing.
