The number of new Covid-19 cases has dipped below the 100 mark, with 96 new cases being reported on Thursday, new figures published by the health authorities show.
128 people meanwhile have recovered from the virus.
The number of active cases has decreased to 2,034.
2,909 swab tests were carried out in the past 24 hours, taking the total number of swab tests up to 436,377 so far.
Authorities said that today’s cases are still being investigated, but gave details about the cases reported on Wednesday.
Out of the 126 reported on Wednesday: 23 were family members of previously known cases; 9 were direct contacts of positive cases; 8 were work colleagues of positive cases; and 4 were from social gatherings.
Malta has had 10,197 cases of Covid-19 in total. 8,015 of them have recovered, while 148 have died.
