Two men are in hospital after being involved in a fight in Armier, the police said.

The incident, which took place at around 11am on Christmas Day, also involved two women.

One of the men, aged 36 of Birkirkara, was allegedly hit by one of the women with a lead pipe, and suffered serious injuries.

The other man, aged 47 of Qormi, was slightly hurt.

The women involved were a 49-year-old from Qormi and a 33-year-old from Birzebbuga.
