Andrea Bocelli concert in Malta to air on New Year’s Eve

A filmed musical production featuring Andrea Bocelli singing across various spots in Malta will air on television on New Year’s Eve.

The world renowned tenor was spotted in Malta in November, and it is now apparent as to why after it was announced that Bocelli had participated in a musical project which will be televised on New Year’s Eve.

The production, which was filmed in various places in Malta, will comprise of eight songs – each song signifying a point of the cross of the Knights of St. John.

The 50-minute production will be transmitted on various television stations world-wide, with TVM being the first to broadcast the program on Thursday at 9.00pm.

The concert will be also transmitted on Andrea Bocelli’s YouTube channel, with a potential 100 million audience.

Bocelli will be singing eight songs – four filmed at St John’s Co-Cathedral and the others at Fort St Elmo, in Valletta, while various beautiful sites and places in the Maltese Islands will be featured at the beginning of the production.

“This small island is a truly special place because as it is found at the centre of the Mediterranean, it a little like the heart of the Mediterranean”, Bocelli said.
