Six drivers were caught behind the wheel under the influence of alcohol last night, the police said.
Inspections were carried out by the Traffic Section together with district police, the Rapid Intervention Unit and the Environmental Protection Unit.
Some 520 vehicles were stopped by the officers in Malta and Gozo.
Several were booked for driving without a licence or insurance, without using a seat belt, without number plates and irregular lights.
Six were caught driving under the influence, while another refused to take a breathalyser test.
