Two people were injured in a crash while riding a motorbike in Paola at 11.50am.

A 65-year-old man and a 59-year-old woman from Birzebbugia were taken to Mater Dei Hospital after the accident on Vjal Santa Lucija.

The driver of the motorbike crashed into a barrier and both he and his passenger suffered injuries. The man is seriously injured and the woman is suffering from grievous injuries.

Investigations are ongoing.
