A 25-year-old man has been arrested through a European Arrest Warrant (EAW), the police said in a statement. The man is from Cameroon.

The EAW was issued by Germany, and the man is wanted over armed robbery and organised crime charges. The man is currently serving a sentence in Maltese jail, after being found guilty on charges relating to a false passport last September.

The man was taken before the courts Friday for extradition proceedings, where it was decided that he will be sent to Germany.
