19 police officers were caught breaking the law between 2017 and today, Home Affairs Minister Byron Camilleri said in Parliament on Monday.

Camilleri was answering a parliamentary question with regards to the matter.

PN MP Ivan Bartolo asked Camilleri regarding the amount of Police officers who were caught committing crimes from 2017 to this day.

Camilleri answered by stating that up till today, 19 people were found guilty in court for committing crimes while serving in the police force.

This statistic is correct for the time period of 2017 till today.
