There were 154 new Covid-19 cases, the health authorities reported, as 206 patients recovered.

On Saturday, the health authorities reported two more deaths: two men aged 82 and 63 died at Mater Dei Hospital.

In all, Malta has now registered 19,651 cases, with 17,017 patients who recovered and 290 deaths.

The number of active cases is now at 2,344.

The number of swab tests carried out on Friday was 2,639, for a total of 651,155.

The health authorities said that until Friday, the number of vaccination doses administered was 48,474, of which 14,739 were second doses.
